We used to ride out to the ocean every Friday night
Just to get a glimpse of something bigger than ourselves.
We’d walk for hours along the sandy beach, skipping stones
Trying to find a little bit of life within these shells.
When the tide was low we’d walk out for a mile or so
Just to get some water between our toes.
